XP gained means (Experience Points Gained). It is a different way to measure your progress other than a traditional chess rating. Gaining ELO is hard. Sometimes very hard. This is why a different mechanism to measure progress can be very beneficial for learning.

When you gain XP, you can eventually advance to the next rank and be recognized for the effort you've put in.
