How do I create a course?
Updated over a week ago

The process of creating a new course is relatively straightforward and the basic course creation page can be reached in two ways:

● By visiting the link https://www.chessable.com/newcourse/

● By clicking on Tools -> Create a Course in the main menu of the Chessable website

On this page, shown in the first screenshot above, you will find a video giving you an overview of how to create your own course. You can also fill in the basic information about your course:

● Title - the title of your course. It is important to mention that it can always be changed at a later stage.

● Type of course - Opening/Strategy/Tactics/Endgame. This can also be changed at a later stage, but it is not ideal and can cause some problems, so it is best to choose it correctly while creating a course.

● Secondary type of course - Secondary type of the course. Most commonly used to combine Strategy/Tactics and Endgame/Tactics courses. The course’s secondary type can also be adjusted later.

● Color of the pieces - Whether you are doing a course for White/Black/both. For opening courses, it is crucial to choose the right color from the get-go, while for non-opening courses, selecting “Both” is usually the best way to go.

The second gif above takes you through all these steps, so click submit when you are ready and your new course will be made!

How do I find all my created courses?

You can always find all the courses you have created by clicking on Courses -> Created by you option from the dropdown menu, or by clicking on the Created tags option in the All Courses page - as shown in the below image.
